The purpose of this airport master plan is to guide the development of the airport for a period up to 2030 with vision 2050.  Noi Bai International Airport handled 26 MPax in 2018 and anticipates 63 MPax in 2030.

The project consists in planning the airport development for successive phases from today to a capacity of 63mppa at the master plan level. Additionally, a vision for 2050 has been proposed, to reach 100 Mpax.

Scope of services:

• Air Traffic Control Tower (2002-2006): In order to cope with the air traffic increase, the CAAV engaged Artelia Airports’ Design services for the replacement of the existing control tower at Noi Bai Airport with a new, higher (measuring 92 m tall and approximately 10 m in diameter) tower and control facilities
• Master Plan Study (2019 -2020):
  • Phase 1: Assessment of the Master Plan (Inventory of the existing facilities, Traffic forecast, Capacity analysis)
  • Phase 2: Development Alternative for the Extension of the Master Plan and selection of the preferred one.
  • Phase 3: Detailed Master Plan and Impact study (Airspace study & Social and Environmental impact)
