• Take lead, undertake & responsible for Leader as well as Structural Design, design guides, calculation and Structure design solutions for projects. To ensure all designs are undertaken in accordance with local codes and international Design to be performed from Concept design, Basic design to Detailed design for Tender and for Construction;
• Take lead, study & undertake, as well as guide for implementation for analysis, providing a proper and reasonable design solution, execute calculation report to meet all technical requirements as required by local standards and international standards, suitable and workable with project budget;
• Take lead, conduct (and/or arrange) the execution of engineering activities and manage team, assign tasks for team, in accordance with the project plan and taking account of the contractual agreements, planning and budget, primarily within one’s own discipline, in order to transfer a design to the Project Manager for a subsequent phase;
• Provide overall direction, support, guide Engineers to perform the works; review and check all design documents done by Structure team prior submit to Project Manager/Design Manager, Engineering Director, in accordance with regulations, Norms & Standards, client demands, company policy and the rules in the company manuals, in order to meet the quality standards and/or design requirements;
• Take lead, undertake, and guide the Engineers to implement, build and develop the data systems, library, spreadsheets, related specialized regulations…in order to set-up the library system as a basis to support for design works;
• Review, evaluate & validate the selected design solutions, materials, proposed by Engineers in the team;
• Liaise with Leaders, Architects, Engineers of other disciplines to ensure design solution come with reasonable, coherent and correct, as well as aesthetically pleasing design;
• Cooperate and collaborate with other Designers, other disciplines, keep update and make amendment in the design to ensure of the logical design for project;
• Produce Structural design briefs, documents, reports and specifications as required;
• Follow & ensure of the team member follow Company’s design procedures, professional standards/rules;
• Responsible and ensure of all the assigned tasks of the team are performed within the assigned timeframe; simultaneously with ensure of quality assurance checking of drawings and calculations;
• Attend design and/or construction meetings as required;
• Perform construction site visits as required and develop site observation reports;
• Review shop drawings and material submissions from contractor/construction manager;
• Liaise with other Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, etc. as required;
• To perform internal training, experience sharing with the Engineers when necessary;
• Compliance under the direction & assignment from Engineering Director;
• Report directly to Engineering Director;
• Other duties as assigned

Profile required

• Basic education: Structure engineer
• Experience: ~10 years
• Certificate: Structure Design certificate, Grade I is a plus
• Strong knowledge in Structure design for Industrial, building apartment, commercial building,…
• Strong knowledge in geotechnical, foundation design, basement design and/or steel structure design
• Revit, Autocad, MS offices, other software skills support for specialized works
• Etabs, Sap, Safe, Plaxis, CFS, …
• Strong communication, presentation, reporting writing
• English speaking and writing
• Having knowledge in other design disciplines is a plus
• Having knowledge in civil, infrastructure design works is a plus
