Ho Chi Minh City Mass Rapit Transit Line 2, Ben Thanh – Tham Luong

Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) is planned to address the transportation needs of the eastern part of the HCMC. The Line 2 route is designed to run from Ben Thanh Market in the city center to Tham Luong Depot in the western part of Ho Chi Minh City. The planning and development of Metro Line 2 in Ho Chi Minh City are part of the city's broader efforts to address traffic congestion, improve public transportation, and promote sustainable urban development. The project includes the Feasibility Studies, FEED Design and Procurement for the phase 1 of HCMC Metro Line 2 which will go from Ben Thanh Station (interchanging with Line 1) to Tan Binh. The total length is approximately 11.3 km with 11 stations (10 underground stations and 1 elevated station). It includes a 1 km spur line to the depot.

Scope of service:

Artelia is in charge of the procurement part of the project. It includes:

  • The preparation of the Bidding Documents applying the FIDIC model
  • Evaluation of the Bids according to EPC/ Design & Build procurement method
  • Negotiation with Bidders
  • Assistance to the client until the signature of Contract.
